Congratulations to Brookland Raider team this past weekend. 60 teams from 8 different schools across the state competed in the Howler Sprint at ASU. A 3.5 mile obstacle course. Brookland's A team finished in 42:08. The 2nd place team at the Howler finished at 49:45. Outstanding effort as we wrap up this Raider season.
As we are halfway through April and nearing the end of the school year, it is that time again to nominate an "Educator of the Year" for each building.
Anyone can be considered an "educator" when they have a positive impact on the students and school whether it is in the areas of academics, athletics, or social/emotional growth.
Students, staff, parents, and community members are welcome to submit this form. We want everyone's input. The deadline to submit a nomination is April 30th.

Starting MONDAY 4/14/25 Route 95 Morning pickup time for students will be moved up 10 Minutes due to the growing number of stops. This is to keep morning drop off times at schools the same.

Baseball/Softball will be hosting their Veterans game. Ceremony starts at 3:25 with first pitch at 4:30.
Soccer will be hosting their tailgate starting at 4:30 with the game starting at 5:00.
On Monday and Tuesday, we hosted our 1st ever Brookland Bearcat Relays at our new track facility. It was a really cool experience to see so many athletes competing on the field. Sr High will host next week.
Students attended the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University for the Structure, Function, and Technology program. This program is designed to engage high school students interested in pursuing a career in medicine through a day of hands-on activities at the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine - Arkansas. Participants spent time in the Anatomy Lab stations, took part in a simulation activity, and toured NYIT. They also had the opportunity to interact with NYIT faculty and current medical students. The day concluded with a tour of Arkansas State's campus.

Bus routes 79 and 97 have areas that are underwater making it unsafe for the buses to travel through. If this area is still underwater in the morning, a bus will not be able to pick up your children. If you cannot get your child to school safely, please call your child's building, and we will excuse their absence. Your child's safety is of utmost importance to all of us. Be careful!
