Brookland was asked to create a unified basketball team to play at halftime of the A-state women's game this past Saturday. A unified team consists of athletes of all ability levels. This is our first year to compete in unified sports and the kids have really enjoyed it! We played Greene County Tech High School. Our game was short and they didn't keep score, but we won 4-0 :)
Team members: Cole Haustein (partner), Cohen Harris (partner), Hunter Phipps (athlete), Brady Combs (athlete), Jon Weston Folsom (athlete).

ASU-Newport hosted a Medical Career Exploration Camp last week in conjunction with UAMS. Brookland had 23 students participate. Students sutured pig's feet, gave injections to oranges, and learned more about radiology. Also, St. Bernard's had two representatives come to talk about interview skills and youth volunteer programs.
