🧩 Red Ribbon Week: October 27th–31st! 🧩
This year, we’re celebrating with the national theme: “Life is a Puzzle, Solve it Drug Free.” Together, we can help our students make healthy choices and understand how every positive decision is an important piece of life’s puzzle. ❤️
✨ Here’s what’s happening throughout the week:
🪙 Penny Wars begin Thursday, October 23rd! (See our flyer for details on how to participate.)
🧩 Find the Puzzle Piece! Each day, a special puzzle piece will be hidden around campus — students who find one can turn it in for a fun prize! 🔍
🎉 Pep Rally – Friday, October 31st! We’ll wrap up the week with school spirit and celebration.
🔴 Students who pledge to be drug-free will receive a Red Ribbon bracelet as a reminder of their promise.
We encourage families to talk with their children about making healthy choices and living drug-free. Together, we can help every student find the missing pieces that lead to a bright, successful future! 🌟

News for BMS parents! Our Parent/Teacher conferences today are free flow. You DO NOT have a set time that you have to attend in order to meet with your child's teacher(s) unless you or the teacher has specified a particular time for a special meeting. Our doors will be unlocked at 2:00 this afternoon and you can come and speak with teachers any time between 2:00 and 8:00pm. Please be mindful that we will have hundreds of parents come through over that time frame and we want to get a chance to visit with everyone so conversations may be somewhat brief! All teachers should be located in the cafeteria for the conferences. 4th Grade teachers will have report cards at the tables with them. If you have a student in the 5th or 6th grade, you will pick up the report card in the back lobby (by the gym and cafeteria) and then enter the cafeteria to speak with teachers. You can enter through the front doors and head straight to the back or you can enter the back lobby from the rear parking lot like you would during an awards ceremony or a ball game. We look forward to seeing everyone this afternoon!
Attention Parent and Guardians!! We will be dismissing early today so we can host our fall Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please remeber car line will start around 1:15 today and students picked up by car will have to be pick up earlier than normal. Buses will be running routes several hours early as well!
Congratulations to our September Students of the Month! These students were nominated by their teachers for demonstrating the Bearcat Motto, "Bearcats Never L.O.S.E when they respect Learning, Others, Self, and Environment."
4th Grade: Oliver Awai, Kale Chappell, Kaedyn Finley, Mabry Moore, Meredith McQuay
5th Grade: Chloe Watkins, Ruthie Buttgen
6th Grade: Bella Beshiers, Claire Poag (not pictured), Ryker Matthews

Fall Sports Pictures are tomorrow, Oct. 16th!
The Glow Run scheduled for October 17th has been canceled due to low participation numbers. Those who have already paid the registration fee will be refunded. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Reminder: School will dismiss at 1:20 pm on Thursday, Oct. 16 for PT Conferences which will be from 2:00-8:00. We will love to see all of our parents and/or guardians attend. We will not be in school Friday, Oct. 17th. This is a calendared day off.
Parent-teacher conferences are this Thursday from 2:00 pm-8:00 pm! Lost and found items will be available for parents to look through. All remaining items after conferences will be donated.
