🧪🪱 Today’s 6th grade science challenge: Can you Save Fred? 🛟
Fred (our poor gummy worm) found himself stranded in a capsized boat with his life preserver trapped underneath. Using only paperclips (no hands allowed), students had to work together to get Fred safely into his life preserver.
So much laughter, teamwork, and problem-solving in action!🐛💡

Thank you for your patience with car lines during the first week of school. While frustrating, the lines have gone smoothly because of you. Even this morning, we have spoken with the Mayor, the Chief of Police, as well as ARDOT representatives to help find solutions. Please remember that the residents of Hickory and Oak street may need to back out of their driveways during high traffic times. They would be appreciative if you allowed them to do that when needed. Thank you so much!

Brookland Public Schools is accepting bids for a used plasma table. Please see the description for more information.

Decisions, Decisions... Looks like the start of a good joke! Happy Wednesday!

Amazing bus ride today with Mr. Jeremy, Ms. Becky, and Ms. Wendy. These unsung heroes get your kids to and from school on a daily basis. They truly care about your kids!

We hope you are hearing great things about school food this year!

Parents, we want to give you a quick update on some technology differences for 6th graders. When your student receives their chromebook, this will be their device over the next 7 years as a Brookland student. We begin allowing students to take their devices home every afternoon as 6th graders. This has been our policy the past several years and most students do a great job of becoming disciplined and responsible for their equipment. However, if you feel that you do not want your child to be able to take the chromebook home, you can request for them to be only a day user. If you only want them to be a day user, we ask that you send Mr. Baltz AND Mr. Wright an email stating you want your child to be a day user.

Mrs. Stephenson‘s 4th-grade class had fun making our favorite foods from play dough as a get-to-know-you activity!

I had the privilege of riding Mr. Bo's and Ms. Vanessa's bus this afternoon. Thank you, thank you bus drivers!

Thank you Parents and Guardians for your patience with car line pick up and drop offs. We are continually looking for options and are very aware of the long waits. We can't do this without you, and we really do appreciate your patience! Looking forward to a great year!
