It was a great day at BPS as we welcomed our newest staff members at orientation. We have some great hires and are looking forward to an awesome school year! #bearcatproud

Proof of vaccination is required by Arkansas State Law for students to attend school. In addition to all previously required vaccines (due by the 1st day of school), students that have turned 11 on or before Sept 1st must receive the Tdap vaccine (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) in accordance with Arkansas State Law. There is a grace period if needed but will require proof of appointment.

10 Brookland Bearcat Trap team members traveled to Sparta, Illinois for a 5 day tournament to compete against championship teams from the entire USA, and several other countries.

These 10 competed in different events in 2 different age classes (15-17 and 12-14).
Overall they finished the squad/team events in 2nd place nationally in both of their age classes. Max Counts also finished as runner-up individually in his age class.
Although this sport is not as well known as some others at the school, it takes an incredible amount of time and dedication to get to this level.
The temperatures they competed in over these last days were ridiculous. Sunday was 103 actual and 122 heat index. However, they hydrated, found shade when possible, and pushed through to show what Bearcats are capable of!

Congratulations to Brittany Akin for being awarded the Northeast Arkansas High School Counselor of the Year award! She also had the opportunity to present at the regional workshop on June 25th.

Open House dates have been set. We are excited to see everyone in August!

The Brookland School Board recently recognized the administrative staff including directors! These ladies and gentlemen put in lots of hours for our students and teachers. Thank you!
