📢 Brookland School District Public Meeting
Brookland School District will host its first public meeting on Thursday, January 29, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. to discuss a proposed 3.95-mill increase to fund district improvements.
This will be an informal, drop-in meeting held in the hallway between Bearcat Arena and the front high school parking lot. Community members are invited to view renderings, gather information, and ask questions about proposed facilities improvements, including a potential funding portion from the state facilities department.

Ms Laura Pope was recently recognized at a Brookland School Board for her leadership in coordinating and facilitating the annual NEA Transition Fair which hosted 14 school districts and provided information and opportunities to students from over 55 businesses, employers, community organizations, agencies, and service providers

January is School Board Recognition Month, and we are proud to recognize and thank our Brookland School Board members for their dedicated service to our students, staff, and community. Brookland Public Schools is accepting School Choice Applications for the 2025-26 or 2026-2027 school year. Applications must be submitted to the administration building at 601 North Holman by June 1st and are considered in the order they were received.

The Brookland School District's January board meeting will be held Monday, January 12th at 5:30 pm. This month's meeting will be held at Brookland Primary School.

Bearcat Parents and Guardians,

The Brookland Special Education office will hold a meeting to provide information and answer any questions of parents who live in the Brookland School District, are currently homeschooling, and have a child who has had an IEP in a public school setting. This meeting will be held on December 18th from 3:00-4:00 pm at 102 Smith St. Please contact Amy Caines at (870) 932-2080 ext 6556 for more information.
The students enjoyed their time granting Kenslie's wish! 💫 🐾 ❤️ Because of the fundraising efforts the past school year, BMS students were able to grant a wish through Make-A-Wish!

Tomorrow's Jr High Boys Soccer Tryout is canceled. You should receive a message from Coach Parsons tomorrow if you filled out the sign up form and turned in your contact info. Practices will resume after Christmas break.

Please remember that you can not line up on Hickory St until 2:55 pm per city ordinance. Police have been writing tickets to those lining up early.
Mrs. Fay's 4th graders enjoyed testing their cooking skills by making Chex Mix!


The Grinch visited Mrs. Yates' and Mrs. Wises classes last Friday!
