All students and staff are safe and there was NO active shooter. We are in contact with the company that provides our system to explain and correct.
USDA Summer Meals for Kids Site Finder
USDA works closely with states to ensure that children who receive on free or reduced-price school meals can get the nutrition they need when schools are closed – whether during summer break or unexpected closures during the school year. Through USDA's summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country can serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost. Families can use this tool to find directions to nearby meal sites, as well as their hours of operation and contact information.
Families seeking food assistance for their children can also contact The USDA National Hunger Hotline, operated by Hunger Free America. The hotline can be reached Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET. at 1-866-3-HUNGRY (1-866-348-6479) (for English) or 1-877-8-HAMBRE (1-877-842-6273) (for Spanish).
As we are approaching the final weeks of the school year, we want to inform you that we will not be sending home printed lunch debt notices for the remaining weeks. We will continue to send texts as well as emails as long as we have the updated information in the offices. If you'd like to check the balance due for your child(ren), please contact Wendy Pannell at 870-336-6563 or wpannell@bpsbearcats.com.
All debts should be paid before the start of the new school year.
Summer EBT benefits may be available to you if you qualify. Scan the QR code or go to the following link for more information. You can also contact the local DHS office for more information.

Brookland schools will be open tomorrow. We have some awesome plans for our kids to learn and experience the eclipse. Remember if you want your kids to experience it with you it will not count against their attendance or having to take semester test. Be safe and thank you all for your support.
As we near the end of the school year, it is that time again to nominate an "Educator of the Year" for each building.
Anyone can be an "educator" when they have a positive impact on the students and school whether it is in the areas of academics, athletics, or social/emotional growth.
Students, staff, parents, and community members are welcome to submit this form. We want everyone's input. The deadline to submit is April 19th.
