I wanted to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving! We are truly thankful to be a part of your child's education. Enjoy the week, and we look forward to seeing everyone on December 1st. Not very many days left before Christmas! We can do this!

From Brookland JROTC: We will be conducting our Service Learning Project after Thanksgiving. We are collecting new or slightly used toys, dog food, and cat food. We are donating the toys to the Paragould Foster Home and the Food to the Jonesboro Animal Shelter. This is a great mission if you have watched the news lately. The Animal Shelters are running out of food for the strays they are receiving and while many of us understand the meaning of Christmas we would like to spread the joy to those who may be a little less fortunate.

To participate in their mission, contact any Brookland JROTC student or email Sgt. Sennett at dsennett@bpsbearcats.com

Our buildings were very briefly placed in a "Soft" lockdown due to a situation off campus. A "Soft" lock down means that classes continue but no students are outside. We are now back to business as usual!

Do you have students who are enthusiastic about "content creation?" This is for them!!
💎 Walton Arts Center's Diamond Awards' new award category - Student Reporter Search 💎
The Diamond Awards Student Reporter search is an opportunity to showcase student creativity and skills in event coverage, visual storytelling, video editing, videography, photography, and social media.
How does this work?... Students will create 2 Insta/TikTok style videos for the Diamond Awards to review and provide feedback. Up to two students will be selected as the Diamond Awards Student Reporters, and are eligible to advance to the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, AKA the Jimmy Awards. The top Student Reporters will get to cover the Diamond Awards for Walton Arts Center, and receive awards during the Awards Show on May 23!

If selected as a National Winner for the Jimmy Awards, students will receive an all-expense paid trip to NYC to work directly with the Jimmy Awards Digital team, June 21-23, 2026!
