Tonight's boys' games with Trumann have been cancelled and rescheduled for Friday, the 11th at Trumann.  No 7th/Jr Hi.  Only Sr Hi JV and Sr. Hi Boys will play on the 11th.  Make up boys games with Pocahontas have been cancelled for Saturday and rescheduled for Wednesday, the 9th.  1 Sr. Hi Boys game only.  The Sr. Girls game with Trumann that was cancelled this past Thursday, will be rescheduled for Friday, the 11th at Brookland.

Due to the forecast of inclement weather and the potential for dangerous roads and power outages, Brookland School District will utilize an AMI day for Thursday, February 3rd. Stay safe and warm!

The Governor announced today the updated quarantine guidelines that allow School Districts to stop contact tracing and quarantines due to the pandemic. Therefore, beginning Wednesday, February 2, 2022, Brookland Public Schools will only be sending students and staff home who test positive for COVID-19 or for those who are symptomatic. If your child is currently quarantined and is asymptomatic they may return to school as soon as possible.

Brookland Public Schools COVID Guidelines for Isolation/Quarantine If You Test Positive for COVID-19 (Isolate) EVERYONE (regardless of vaccination status): You must stay home for 5 days. If you have no symptoms at the end of 5 days, you may return to school. You should continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days. If you have a fever, continue to stay home until your fever resolves. You must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. If You Were Exposed to Someone with COVID-19 (Quarantine) If You are Fully Vaccinated: You do not have to quarantine unless you start showing symptoms. If you develop symptoms, you should get a test and stay home. If You are Unvaccinated: You should stay home for 5 days. If you don’t show symptoms, you can return on the 6th day. After that, you should continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days. If you develop symptoms, get a test and stay home.
