Congratulations to Brookland Band students Hannah Davison, Jasper Webb, Abby McDaniel, and Zachary Harris. They auditioned and earned spots in the All State Bands, breaking a school record! They attended the All State Clinic in Hot Springs last week where they met with students from all over the state to prepare and perform some challenging music. They worked hard and had a blast! Baseball - Senior Jack Henry Pettit started the season with a complete game shutout over GCT w/12 strikeouts. Freshman Jake Reece started his HS baseball career with a first at bat, first pitch 2-run homerun. It's going to be a good season, come out and support your Bearcats!
The game with Greene Co Tech has been made a home game and will be at 4 pm tomorrow.

At around 9:30am, BPS was notified by the Brookland Police Department that they were conducting a search at a residence near the Jr/Sr. High School. For precautionary reasons, the school was placed on temporary lockdown. The lockdown was lifted at 10:00am without any incidents on school campus.
