We had a great turnout last year and hope to make it even better this year. We would especially like to have any businesses that might create job opportunities for our students!! Come join us and get the school year started off great by cheering on our Bearcats!!
LITTLE CATS FOOTBALL CAMP will be held July 16th-18th from 6-7pm. Boys in Grades 3-6 are invited to attend. Cost to attend is $40/camper which includes a mini football and a T-shirt . The Little Cats camp is run by our Bearcat Football staff as well as out high school athletes. We are looking forward to a great time! This is a no-contact football camp. #Bearcatproud, #TheBearcatWay

The school went into a temporary lockdown with a malfunction of our RAVE System signaling an active shooter. The police responded within seconds and discovered it was a malfunction. All students and staff are safe and there was NO active shooter. We are in contact with the company that provides our system to explain and correct.

2024-2025 Baseball Team Tryout Information!
The 2024 Academic Awards Ceremony for Sophomores and Juniors is on May 17th at 12:30pm in the Brookland High School Auditorium. Students who are receiving an academic award were given an invitation to attend the ceremony during English classes earlier this week. Only those students who received an invitation, along with their family members, will attend the ceremony. If a student received an invitation, but will not be attending school on May 17th, they will need to arrive at the auditorium by 12pm to be seated. We are looking forward to celebrating the academic accomplishments of these students!

USDA works closely with states to ensure that children who receive on free or reduced-price school meals can get the nutrition they need when schools are closed – whether during summer break or unexpected closures during the school year. Through USDA's summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country can serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost. Families can use this tool to find directions to nearby meal sites, as well as their hours of operation and contact information.
Families seeking food assistance for their children can also contact The USDA National Hunger Hotline, operated by Hunger Free America. The hotline can be reached Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET. at 1-866-3-HUNGRY (1-866-348-6479) (for English) or 1-877-8-HAMBRE (1-877-842-6273) (for Spanish).

As we are approaching the final weeks of the school year, we want to inform you that we will not be sending home printed lunch debt notices for the remaining weeks. We will continue to send texts as well as emails as long as we have the updated information in the offices. All debts should be paid before the start of the new school year.
