Brookland Bearcats trap team JR division (6-8th grade) competed in regionals today in Jacksonville.

Squads 1 and 2 qualified for state and will come back on May 29th! Squad 3 was only two targets away from qualifying.

April 24, 2026, 8 students with their teachers attended the Arkansas Scholastic Press Association convention in Springdale, Ar. It was held at Har-Ber High School. Brookland High School’s Bearcat Media Productions was among over 15 public schools around the state.
Those from BMP in attendance were: Belen Okoduwa (10), Genovive McLain (10), Andrew Wallace (10), Jackson Mitchell (11), Kasen Sellers (9), Ellie Whitley (9), Isaac Agee (9) and Harper Luye (9), Jane Andrews (Adviser), Hannah Deeter (Adviser).
All together, Bearcat Media brought home over 55 awards in Broadcast, Film and Video.
Bearcat Media received All-Arkansas in Film. Jackson Mitchell was named Broadcast Journalist of the Year. 3 Students received Best of ASPA: Harper Luye, Jackson Mitchell, Ellie Whitley
