Our first make up day for snow will be February 16th. We will not be in school February 13th. The 13th was just a scheduled off day on the calendar. We will let you know the other snow days very soon.
💙🩵MAKE-A-WISH FUNDRAISER 🩵💙
Brookland Elementary is participating in a service project to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This organization fulfills the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. Kids are waiting for their wishes. We can help. Will you please donate to the fundraiser? Please send cash, change, or a check to Make-a-Wish in a ziplock bag with your child’s name, teacher, and the donation amount written on it.
💰💲Brookland Elementary will collect money from February 5 to February 12, 2026. 💲💰
The goal is $10,000. If we raise $10,000, the whole building will receive a surprise. The top 10 students who raise the most money will receive a medal and a certificate. 🏅
The top class in each grade that raises the most money will win a snack-and-drink party. 😊🎊🎉

The Brookland School District will return to school tomorrow! Everyone take their time and be very cautious and patient in the morning. Parents, please use your best discretion regarding your child's safety while returning to school. If unsafe conditions should keep your child from school please let their building office know. Buses will run but will not travel on snow or ice covered roads. Thank you and be safe!
Brookland School will be out of School Tuesday because of road conditions. There are just too many issues with multiple bus routes. Looking forward to the other side of this!

We will be out again Monday for a snow day. Side roads and bus routes are still very slick and frozen. We would love to have school but just can't do it yet. Very thankful for Mr Keith Prescott and Mr Darrin Block along with all of the maintenance and transportation teams for the countless hours spent trying to clean up the campus. They work long hours and care about our district. Thank you!!
The 3rd grade book club meeting scheduled for Monday, February 2nd has been moved to Monday, February 9th to allow more time for our students to sign up to participate. The meeting will be held in the Elementary library at 6 PM.
