Mrs. Son’s second grade class had a ✨SUPER✨ week full of learning, fun, and celebrations!
On Tuesday, the students earned a movie and popcorn party as well as a trip to the treasure box for filling up their good behavior jar. On Thursday, during a fun lesson on fractions, they were challenged to design their own pizzas (divided into halves, fourths, and eights). On Friday, the class voted on who would win the Super Bowl, learned about American Super Bowl traditions, and had their own little Super Bowl celebration by watching a few minutes of the Puppy Bowl and munching on some homemade (class made) nachos. 🍿 🎥 🍕 🏈

Mrs. Son’s class recently had some special visitors. Abe’s mom, Mrs. Whitney, and his grandpa, Mr. Hill, stopped by to surprise the class with a good book and a delicious treat. Mr. Hill works for the Arkansas State Police and shared some information about the roles and responsibilities of law enforcement officers (particularly ASP) in our community. The children were fascinated. Thank you, Mr. Hill, for taking time out to visit, read, and connect with these sweet students. ⭐️
