Our HS EAST Dept is working with the city to organize a Keep Brookland Beautiful Cleanup Day and would love your help! Any clubs, athletic teams, families, businesses, or individuals can volunteer to help! (Great time to get volunteer hours)! Please use the QR code attached to signup to receive supplies on cleanup day- May 6 @ 10:00am. We are going to meet at the HS parking lot and disperse around town. We will meet back at the HS for food and drinks afterwards. We are hoping to make this a fun event and help clean up our city!

Eli’s grandparents and their trained therapy dog, Marly, were Mystery Readers in Mrs. Son’s class yesterday. Mrs. Donna read a book about helper dogs and shared another book about Marly’s training, visits, and accomplishments. Then, Marly stole the show by showing the students a few of her favorite tricks such as catching a ball, locating a ball by scent and sound, sitting on command, speaking, and pushing a special button that tells humans her name. She even modeled her favorite Easter outfit for the class. Afterwards, Marly visited with the students and let them pet her.  For being such a good girl, the class surprised Marly with a “wag cup” from Sonic. Thank you, Mrs. Donna, for sharing your knowledge about therapy dogs.
