Abbie Hagans was the first quarter recipient of the Kindness Award in Mrs. Son’s class. Abbie goes out of her way to show kindness to her peers and teachers. She helps classmates, shares supplies, and encourages others. She also notices when students need a friend on the playground and invites them to play. Mrs. Son’s class is grateful for Abbie and her acts of kindness.

Molly Childers was selected as Ms. Baker's Kind Student Award winner for our first semester. Molly is so sweet and helpful to all of her classmates and her teacher. She always tries her best and has a smile for everyone she meets.
Mrs. Camp's class had another Mystery Reader today! Our mystery reader was a classmate's "Boo" (grandma), but she is also known as Mrs. Gilley from everyone around the school! She read the book There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves and surprised the students with their own copy of the book and a pumpkin treat to eat! Thank you "Boo" for coming to see us!
Brynlee Tibbs is an amazing friend. She is a big help in class to everybody and she wears a smile on her face CONSTANTLY!! Ms. Hooper’s class loves Brynlee and all the kindness she spreads!

Communication Over Distance using Light and Sound.
Today, they created string telephones to help communicate over distance.
As an extra bonus, the class saw their science lesson come to life during the school fire drill when they heard sound and lights flashing to communicate. 🚨
Mrs. McCorkle's little Bearcats want to send a big "thank you" to The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. DAR awarded Mrs. McCorkle with the 2022 Helen Pouch Memorial Fund Classroom Grant, which provided $500 to our classroom for reading supplies this year!
