Bearcats Reaching a Goal
We have a volunteer opportunity called B.R.A.G. As a volunteer, you will be helping a struggling reader foster a love of reading and become a more confident reader. If you are interested in this ten week commitment, please fill out our B.R.A.G. volunteer reading program application below. Currently, there are a limited number of slots and you will be contacted if you are partnered with a student. Please contact Mrs. Despain with more information (mdespain@bpsbearcats.com). Parents of all ages are encouraged to volunteer.

First graders enjoyed starting the Quirkles series during CAT time this week with Ms. Hembrey! They were amazed to see what happens when you mix an acid and a base together! #beARcatnation
Mrs. Sullivan’s class had a surprise experiment from Hudsyn Lavender Friday. Hudsyn did an experiment for the class that showed them what her blood looked like when she was first diagnosed with Leukemia and was able to explain to the class how there were more bad cells than good cells. Then she showed them what her blood looks like now that it is healthy again. She did an amazing job explaining everything to her classmates!
Ms. Kazi’s class has been learning about sound vibrations in Science. Today we made kazoos to explore how sound is caused by vibrations.
Mrs. Mccorkle's little Bearcats enjoyed engineering and building with friends on this FUN Friday!!! Going home with an extra book to keep was an added bonus❤️🐾❤️
Ms. Baker’s class had a Free Friday Brag Letter celebration this afternoon. The students earn letters when bragged on by other teachers, staff or adults. When they earn enough letters to spell Bearcats, they get to celebrate their good choices!
Ms. Baker’s class enjoyed dancing to Go Noodle while taking a break between tests!
Mrs. Gramling’s class practiced writing their names and alphabet letters in sensory sand trays today!
