Mrs. Son’s class loved having Mrs. Melissa Duckett as a mystery reader last week. Mrs. Melissa read The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors and then taught the students how to play the game. What a fun time!

These two represented BES well tonight at the Homecoming game!! 🐾❤️🐾

Brookland 1st grade teachers are in search of parent volunteers to work in 30 minute sessions one-on-one or with small groups of students. We strive to help our students reach their reading and spelling goals. Your role will be to assist students who need extra enrichment with these skills. Everything will be planned out for you in advance. If you are willing to volunteer for this commitment of at least twice per week (minimum), we would love to have your assistance.📚❤️🐾

January 23-27, we are celebrating “The Great Kindness Challenge” with
different activities each day. Today, your child is bringing home an “All
About Kindness” poster template. Please encourage your child to complete
the poster and return to school by Monday, January 23. On January 26,
posters will be judged and a prize will be awarded to one student from each
class.
To complete the poster, your child may write, draw, cut out and glue
pictures, color with crayons/markers/colored pencils, etc.
We hope that they enjoy this project!

Happy birthday, Ms. Kaylee! 🥳🎉
