October is Rett Syndrome Awareness and Down Syndrome Awareness Month! BES has friends with Rett Syndrome and Down Syndrome in our classes. Please join us in showing our support for them by wearing purple (Retts 💜) on Monday, Oct. 9th
and blue & yellow (Down Syndrome 💙💛) on Monday, Oct. 16th.

Last month, many BES staff members participated in a "Step Challenge", and we want to commend these staff members for the AMAZING work that they put in last month.
As a group, the participants had over 15 MILLION steps last month! We are so proud of the effort everyone put in and hope they all enjoyed it.
Our winner for the Most Overall Steps AND the Most Steps in One Day was Mrs. Susan Newman. She absolutely blew us away with 30,385 steps in one day and 573,367 steps overall. So incredible!!
Our $300 cash prize winner by random drawing was Mrs Stephanie Burke!
Congratulations to everyone!! In the coming months, we will be extending our love for walking to our students! Look for exciting things to come!

Cheer and Dance will be hosting a Peewee Cheer Clinic on Oct 17th with the performance at the home football game on Friday, Oct. 20th. Registration is due by Oct. 6th. Forms will be sent home or online sign up using the jotform is the preferred method. Cost is $50 and the theme is going to be PINK OUT with BARBIE!!
