Brookland Assistant Superintendent, George Kennedy and Superintendent, Brett Bunch, traveled to Southern Methodist University in Dallas September 30th through October 1st to take part in the SMU Leadership Institute. The institute invites leaders from across the states of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas to take part in a six month learning program to enhance each leaders knowledge and skills to better serve their students, staff and district. This year's cohort is made up of 4 Arkansas leaders and 28 Texas leaders from schools ranging in size from 600 students to over 100,000 students. The cohort will meet, via zoom, each Friday and will return to Dallas, in January, for another in-person gathering, and finish their program of work in May.
